(I am using Firefox for this, as it (usually) remembers the respective login credentials as opposed to Chrome, which doesn&#8217;t \u2013 I guess, the web page tells the browser to not offer filling in the credentials, and Chrome obeys to it and Firefox (ususally) doesn&#8217;t)<\/li>\n<li>can I ssh to it, and can I run &#8220;bash -login&#8221;?<\/li>\n<li>can I rsync to the other two DiskStations? \u2013 additional test on the primary NAS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Which one of my DiskStations got updated, in which order, how successful was the update, what trouble arose:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DiskStation000 \u2013DS213+, 2-bay, the one accessible from outside \u2013 success<\/li>\n<li>DiskStation001 \u2013\u00a0DS112+, 1-bay \u2013 success, but only after restarting Firefox \u2013 no idea, why<\/li>\n<li>DiskStation002 \u2013\u00a0DS115j, 1-bay, my prime &#8220;mobile&#8221; NAS \u2013 postponed, until everything with the other two is (almost) perfect \u2013 success<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Before my primary NAS (002) gets updated:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I back up my openSUSE Linux VM <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/text\/ESV\/Tobit1%3A1-2\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">to 000+001+002<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I make double-sure, that I back up everything from 002 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/text\/ESV\/Tobit1\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">to 001<\/a> and 000, that I usually just back up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/text\/ESV\/Tobit2\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">to 002<\/a> itself and only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibleserver.com\/text\/ESV\/Tobit1\" class=\"bibleserver extern\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">to 000<\/a> and 001 once in a while: book library (sounds redundant, doesn&#8217;t it?!! &#8220;library&#8221; stems from the Latin word for &#8220;book&#8221; \u2013 see above!), music library, quicken banking, \u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Smoke_testing_(software) https:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/liber#Latin\u00a0\u2013\u00a0the inner bark of trees, paper, parchment, book My tiny little &#8220;smoke test&#8221; WRT &#8220;did the software \/ firmware update to my Synology DiskStation&#8221; succeed: can I access the respective\u00a0https:\/\/diskstation999:5001\/webman in my Firefox?
