Last night my occasional motor problems regarding my fingers made me supposedly type some keyboard shortcut, that caused to colour scheme flip to something I wasn’t able to reverse without restarting the MacBook. I sort of hated that. But I did so. During the shutdown process macOS asked me, whether I would agree to include the OS update, and I did so. But it did not say, what that would be. But when it finally turned out take a little longer, I knew exactly, I was in the Catalina upgrade trap again. My Fink software has hindered me for a while to “welcome” that upgrade, even to fall back to Mojave once. And as it turned out, I was upgrading to Catalina (now unwillingly) once again. Luckily enough after the last time I had properly set up Time Machine on this MacBook, and after connecting the MacBook to the network via Ethernet instead of WiFi it was an easy piece of cake. Going through the experience took my a couple of hours, but apparently I am fine right now. I am quite grateful.
