Again, this graph is also a little exaggerated, but still … – I like the description anyway. The kind of PITA you always need and which is useful to “move forward”.

now all my 4 Macs are running OS X 10.10.1 AKA Yosemite

Actually I don’t like it that colourfull, I prefer a monochrome background, these days “Solid Aqua Graphite”.

if you are downloading “OS X Yosemite” from the App Store, do you want keep the downloaded “thing”?
If you keep it, you can also use it for another installation.
But you got to copy it, before you press “Continue”.
This is, what you are after:
- /Applications/Install OS X Yosemite.app

I reviewed Polars’s Android app “Polar Beat” (= fi.polar.beat) on Google Play / Apps
miserable graphic for treadmill!
no compatible pedometer / stride sensor? The graphic you can share for a session on the treadmill is plain blue, instead of at least the hearbeat. And if Polar will ever start showing the heartbeat, please do not show the area below the minimal heartbeat, because that’s a waste.
Polar sells stride sensors, the market has a lot of different ones, so why is this app not compatible with any of them?

Does Jewish Law Allow Torture? – Tablet Magazine
…
As Klapper put it: “Endorsing torture fundamentally desecrates God’s Name. The role of Judaism is to raise moral standards in the world, not to legitimate a lowest moral common denominator.”

my first repository on github.com – and it is public – I uploaded my most helpful scripts
I uploaded a couple of the scripts, that I use and change most:
- my fetchmail log file checker – including the sslfingerprint extraction
- my procmail log file reformatter
- a few *-suggest-rename*.sh shell scripts – they are so useful for creating “reasonable” names for PDF and JPEG files
I was simply tired of keeping (some of) them up-to-date on my own website. Now I am easily able to refer to them in my articles.
