frequent ongoing changes to Google’s SSL certificates – how should fetchmail deal with this?
-
a question on the web: “has gmail’s SSL certificate changed, how would we know?” – and its funny answer: “… they own your computer and will take care of it for you”

Google can easily revoke certificates. They can even install what ever they want on my computer as a replacement for google chome with their automatic background updates. Don’t worry about it, they own your computer and will take care of it for you.
I came across this thread, when I searched for a way to deal with the occasional fingerprint changes – because fetchmail has no way of letting me know, I think.
My serious approach to dealing with SSL fingerprint change:
- I “ssh IMAP_SERVER tail -f …” my procmail LOGFILE anyway …
- and because that keeps stalling after a while …
- I have to keep restarting it manually
- and on the same command line I check for “fingerprints” in my fetchmail LOGFILE

my 2nd Thursday evening movie at the Sony Center: The Drop

We saw this movie last night at the Berlin Sony Center, because we were in there anyway.
Yet another mafia film … – in English, so at least good for more experience with that foreign language – not really reaching the typical local moral standards – terrible stuff, again. At least I was there with my mate.

Yet another comedy … – distracting … – in English, so at least good for more experience with that foreign language – terrible stuff yet anyway. At least I was there with my mate.

For as long as I am an org-mode beginner, I will need this shortcut resp. command in order to “show all, including drawers“:
C-u C-u C-u <TAB> (outline-show-all)

my profile at flow.polar.com is not as public, as I want it to be
- https://flow.polar.com/training/profiles/2063086
- the broadest publicity Polar allows is “for all registered users of flow.polar.com“; that is too restricted, and it costs me “the real publicity” – I don’t like this restriction

Yael Naïm – now I own proper copies of all her three studio albums

- 2007 – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yael_Naïm_(album)
- 2010 – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/She_Was_a_Boy
Her 2001 album was a little harder to get – at an affordable price I could get it through the Amazon Marketplace. I got the later two as MP3 downloads from Amazon.
